Outreach overview
What an outreach draft is, when it is generated, and how it is anchored to research.
An outreach draft is an AI-written message prepared for a specific client, anchored to the findings from that client's most recent research. It is designed to give you a strong starting point for initial outreach or follow-up, personalised to what the agent actually found.
When drafts are generated
Drafts can be created in two ways:
-
Manually: from any completed client research record, click Draft outreach. The agent generates a draft using the client's top-rated intelligence items and score.
-
Automatically via an automation: an automation with the
draft_outreachstep creates a draft when its trigger fires.draft_outreachalways goes through the task inbox as a proposal first — it is not eligible for theauto_execute_safe_stepsautonomy tier.
What a draft contains
A draft includes:
- Subject line: if the channel supports it.
- Opening: personalised to the client using their company name and top findings.
- Body: a brief explanation of why you are reaching out, grounded in one or two specific intelligence items.
- Call to action: a proposed next step (typically a meeting request).
The draft is anchored to the research: it references the specific things the agent found, not generic sales language.
Editing a draft
Drafts are editable before you use them. Open the draft from the client's outreach tab and make any changes. Edits are saved automatically.
Draft channels
Currently, drafts are produced as plain text for any channel. Future releases will add native integrations with email clients and CRM platforms.
