Enabling signal sources
The /settings/signals page and how to opt in per source.
Signal sources are opt-in per workspace. You enable and configure them from Settings > Signal sources. Admin or owner role is required.
The signal sources page
The page lists all available sources with their current status. For each source you can see:
- Whether it is enabled.
- The poll interval (how often Client Path checks for new signals).
- The last poll time and how many signals the last poll produced.
- Any errors from the last poll.
Enabling a source
- Go to Settings > Signal sources.
- Find the source you want to enable.
- Toggle the Enabled switch.
- Configure any source-specific settings (see the individual source pages for details).
- The source begins polling on its next scheduled interval.
Disabling a source
Toggle the Enabled switch off. Client Path stops polling the source. Existing signal records are retained.
Poll intervals
Each source has a default poll interval, which you can adjust:
| Source | Default interval |
|---|---|
| Company news | Every 15 minutes |
Shorter intervals mean more timely signals but higher API usage. Longer intervals reduce cost but may delay signal delivery.
Source errors
If a poll fails (for example, because an external API is unavailable), the error is shown on the source row. Client Path retries automatically on the next scheduled poll.
